Maintaining this documentation

Update every locale using evidence from the current product.

The documentation lives separately in docs/astroguide. The projets/AstroGuide application repository remains the factual, read-only source during a documentation update.

Source priority

  1. actual code, views, i18n catalogue and store;
  2. current Compose file, Dockerfile and nginx.conf;
  3. README, DEMO.md, CONTRIBUTING.md and SECURITY.md;
  4. executable tests;
  5. vision documents only as an explicit horizon, never as available functionality.

Language contract

English is canonical and the default. French, Spanish and German are maintained translations, not shortened summaries. Every page must exist in all four locales, preserve technical commands and scientific caveats, and link to the same locale. When a fact changes, update the four versions in the same change.

Checks before delivery

npm ci
npm run lint
npm run typecheck
npm run check:content
npm run check:links
npm run build

Then run the site and verify search, locale switching, same-locale navigation, keyboard use, theme, and desktop, tablet and mobile layouts. Revalidate every version number and public URL when publishing.
