Demo mode
Scope of the public demo, isolated build and session reset.
The demo is not a copy of the landing page. It is a build mode of the real product, documented in DEMO.md.
Scope
- all three views are available;
- all 39 objects in the embedded catalogue are accessible in four languages;
- no account, cookie, backend or external service;
- only the language preference may be stored locally; exploration choices remain temporary;
- a welcome screen introduces the three views and scientific limitations;
- a “Demo” badge remains visible;
- the reset button restores a fresh exploration session without changing the language.
Public URL: demo.astroguide.lucas-homelab.fr.
Local use
npm ci --include=optional
npm run dev:demoFor another device on the local network, use npm run dev:demo:lan.
Hosting artefact:
npm run build:demo
npm run preview:demovercel.json builds only this mode. The Dockerfile continues to build the normal product.
Indexing
The demo build injects noindex, nofollow, noarchive, a robots.txt that denies all crawlers, and the X-Robots-Tag header on Vercel.
Scientific limitations
Rendered positions, visual distances, orbits and sizes are illustrative. The demo must not be presented as an exact astrophysical simulation.
