2D map
Pan, zoom and read the catalogue on an illustrative spatial representation.
The 2D map is not an official astronomical sky map. It is an illustrative spatial representation of the catalogue with constellations, search and filters.
Navigation
- mouse: drag to pan and use the wheel to zoom;
- touch: use one finger to pan and pinch to zoom;
- scale is limited between 1 and 20.
The interface zoom buttons apply the same limits.
Constellations
Displayed segments connect existing catalogue objects. Integrity tests reject a segment that references an unknown identifier.
Terminology
The product and this documentation call this an illustrative 2D map. It does not claim astronomical positioning or scale.
