Search and filters

Find a celestial object, filter the catalogue and open its information card.

The navigation panel is available in all three views. It lets you search, filter and select an object.

The field searches localized names, types and constellations. Selecting a result opens its localized information card.

Filters

Catalogue types are star, planet, system, blackhole and galaxy. The Moon is currently typed as planet and linked to Earth through parentId.

Information card

The card displays the localized name, scientific size and distance labels, uncertainty qualifier where applicable, and description. Closing the card or resetting the demo hides it. Navigation choices are not persisted.

Size comparison

Compare approximate diameters and extents without confusing mass and diameter.

Mobile and landscape

Use AstroGuide in portrait, compact landscape and with a keyboard.
